Hand‑Dyed Yarns with a Scottish Story in Every Skein

Every skein includes a story about the inspiration behind the colour-way.

Thistle Yarns is a small Scottish dye studio crafting colourways that weave together heritage, history, landscape, and story.

Every Thistle Yarns skein includes an explanation of the Scottish inspiration behind the colour-way.

The story offers a gentle connection to the heart of Thistle Yarns, turning every colour-way into a moment of story, place, and creative warmth.

I create gentle, atmospheric palettes that carry a sense of place - threads of history, folklore, and memory spun into wool. Each skein is crafted with care, connection, and a love of slow, meaningful making.

Bundles come with a few thoughtful treats - a project postcard, a handmade stitch marker, and a couple of small surprises that vary by bundle size. You can choose how they arrive:

  • Eco‑Light Packaging: skeins in compostable bags with a QR code to the story page

  • Story Box Upgrade: skeins wrapped in tissue paper, in recyclable box with a printed story card and all the little extras, perfect for gifting.
