I’m Wendy, the dyer behind Thistle Yarns. Years of teaching history have shaped the way I see colour: a landscape, a piece of folklore or a life from Scotland’s past can all become the beginning of a skein.

I hand-dye small batches in my Midlothian studio, creating yarn for makers who love both colour and the stories behind it.
